Château de Beaucastel wordt al lang beschouwd als een van de beste wijnen van Frankrijk en staat unaniem bekend om zijn balans, elegantie en rijpingspotentieel.
Beaucastel beschikt over een uitzonderlijk terroir aan de noordpunt van de appellatie Châteauneuf-du-Pape, zeer blootgesteld aan de Mistral. De dertien druivensoorten van de appellatie worden sinds de jaren zestig op biologische wijze verbouwd.
